Choosing the Menu for Catering Halls in Suffolk County

If you will be having a special occasion affair in Suffolk County, you should be looking into catering halls as soon as possible. Most people believe that the most important aspect of the catering hall is the menu and the options available. Most catering halls offer more than one package option, so you get the experience you deserve and desire.

Dinner Packages

Most of the dinner packages provide a cocktail hour where cold foods and hors d’oeuvres are passed around. This makes for an elegant event and allows people to mingle and enjoy some delicious food without overeating so they save room for dinner and dessert. Most catering halls prefer to offer two to four items for each course and area so that guests can have a large selection. However, you may choose to trim down the menu by selecting a favorite of yours or only two options to keep the price down somewhat.

Many cold foods are available for your menu, from cheese to vegetables and fruits. Hot hors d’oeuvres can include stuffed mushrooms, fried shrimp and more, making the guests feel honored and special.

The cocktail hour will usually be about one hour while the dinner is about three hours and will include multiple courses, including appetizers, salads, entrée and dessert. You will likely get to pick one to three options to be served at your event in Suffolk County.

Silver Packages

While some catering halls prefer to name their packages silver and gold, this package is the highest available and will usually include white-glove services and butler options.

These packages will usually include some of the same foods for the cocktail hour and dinner though there will usually be more of a selection and you can choose the types of foods you wish. For example, cocktail appetizers can include coconut shrimp, Bruschetta, vegetable quiche, baked clams and more.

Cold displays are also available in the silver package for the cocktail hour and can include iced vegetables, cheese boards, antipasto and more.

A carving station is usually offered as part of the entrée selection, so you can choose between turkey, ham, steak, pastrami and more. Many times, you are allowed two options for the carving station at the price quoted.

Dinner includes appetizers, salads, app duets, entrees and desserts. You are allowed to pick the options you prefer and can even include a cake, made directly through the catering hall in Suffolk County.
